What is the difference between acetone and non-acetone nail polish remover?

Acetone is a harsh chemical but can be used in small ammounts like polish remover.I do not like to use it because it makes my nails dry and split. It will melt false nails. What is the difference between acetone and non-acetone nail polish remover?
Both are working to remove polish but the acetone would dry your nails and skin more. Acetone is stronger, and dissolves acrylic on the nails. What is the difference between acetone and non-acetone nail polish remover?
Acetone removers are better at removing nail polish. (That's what they use in salons.)
acetone is alot hasher then non-acetone nail polish remover. if u have false nails and u dnt want to take them off but u want to take nail polish tht u painted over it off u will use non-acetone remover, coz the non-acetone one is acetone free and wnt do anything to the false nails. but if u wnat ot take them off then u would use acetone remover
Just like is there any difference in formaldehyde %26amp; toluene free nail enamel/polish? Is formaldehyde %26amp; toluene free nail enamel/polish better for you than say OPI which contains both these ingredients? I have just bought quite a few OPI nail polishes at A$19.95 each.
acetone eats off the enamel off your nails leaving them soft and easy to break or bend. when u use a non acetone nail polish remover make sure it's fortified with vitamin e, so your nails can stay strong and healthy
acetone will remove any type of nail polish.

non acetone is for the fake nails, so it doesn't mess up the glue
